Dr. Seth Watson

PT, DPT, PhD, OCS, Director of PT Operations

Area of physical therapy or work with a particular type of patient:  I specialize in orthopedic rehabilitation including the upper/lower extremity and spinal rehabilitation. In fact, the dissertation research for my PhD had an emphasis on the treatment of patients with low back pain and was titled “Treatment Adherence: Predictive Factors and the Relationship with Treatment Outcomes in Patients with Low Back Pain.”

In addition, I also enjoy treating individuals dealing with persistent pain. Finally, one of my favorite populations to work with is individuals motivated to transform their health and quality of life through adopting a lifestyle that includes better exercise and nutrition habits. I also enjoy organizing/conducting clinical research and teaching both professionals and entry-level physical therapy students.

Why I became a PT: In my sophomore year of high school, I was injured in a football game and ended up seeing Dr. Lott at the brand new (@ the time) Fairfield clinic for treatment. I developed an immediate high level of regard for Dr. Lott and decided at that time to become a Physical Therapist. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate education, I made a point to keep in contact with Dr. Lott and even worked for him off and on as an aide.

Personal Information:
I was raised most of my life in/around Tyler, Texas. However, in 2005 I moved to Teague, Texas after my family moved following my dad’s transfer to the Big Brown power plant. I married my wife Danica (Dr. Danica) a week before we graduated physical pherapy school in November 2014. We have had two handsome sons, Brooks (August 2017) and Will (August 2020). Our beautiful daughter, Ella Kate was born in July 2022. We also have a chocolate lab named Mojo. We live on the northside of Corsicana just out of city limits. We worship at First Baptist Church- Corsicana. I love playing golf (though not well), working out/exercising, playing with the boys, and going on hiking/skiing trips with my family. When I have a spare, quiet moment, I love reading.
