Dr. Danica Watson
PT, DPT, NCS, LSVT, Corsicana Assistant PT Manager
Area of physical therapy or work with a particular type of patient: I enjoy working with individuals who have been diagnosed with neurological conditions including Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Traumatic Brain Injury, etc. I also enjoy working with individuals who have dizziness (vestibular) and balance problems.
Why I became a PT/PTA? I would not say there is one specific reason “why I became a PT”. As I reflect on my journey, I would say that God just opened multiple doors to allow be to a Physical Therapist at Lott Physical Therapy in Corsicana, TX. My dad was a Director of Special Education and worked with Physical Therapists. He mentioned that this could be a good fit for me. I started to attend physical therapy sessions with my grandmother in high school, and from that point on I never had a change of heart about the career I wanted to pursue. I love that physical therapy allows you the opportunity to engage with people and to help them reach their specific goals – which could be anywhere from learning to walk again, to reduce pain, or to be able to complete an exercise program independently.

Personal Information:
I was born and raised in Tyler, TX. I married my husband (Dr. Seth Watson) in 2014 a week before we graduated physical therapy school. I initially worked at UT Southwestern primarily specializing in the treatment of patients following a stroke or brain injury. However, following the birth of my first son I transitioned to PRN work until accepting a full-time position at Lotts in July of 2018. We moved to Corsicana in 2019 and we love being a part of this community! We have two adorable sons (Brooks and Will) and our chocolate lab Mojo. We are members of First Baptist Church Corsicana. I enjoy spending time with my family/friends, exercising and reading.
