Dr. Brenda Altamira

PT, DPT

Area of physical therapy or work with a particular type of patient:

I love working with a diverse population that a rural setting provides. It keeps me accountable for staying up to date with a variety of conditions.

Why I became a PT:

I have always known I wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. I was always active in high school and had a natural interest in anatomy. I figured physical therapy was a good combination of both. I was assured of my decision when I had the opportunity to shadow Dr. Rash here at Lott when I was a sophomore in undergrad. I really valued how we are able to connect with and empower patients.

Personal Information:

I was born and raised right here in Corsicana, Texas. I went to Corsicana High School where I played soccer and volleyball and graduated in 2016. After high school, I went to Texas State University in San Marcos where I was a part of the Pre-Physical Therapy Organization and graduated with a degree in exercise and sport science. Upon graduation, I moved to Dallas where I completed my doctorate in physical therapy at Texas Woman’s University. I moved back to Corsicana after I was graciously offered a position here at Lott Physical Therapy. I am so excited to be back, and I’m looking forward to continue learning and growing as a clinician to better serve my community!
